Die Linke, ob radikal oder nicht, hofft auf einen Heißen Herbst und diskutiert die Wahl der Waffen im Kampf gegen die soziale Kastastrophe der explodierenden Preise. Aus vergangenen Mobilisierungen wurde gelernt: Im Fokus stehen weniger einzelne Großdemos vor dem Brandenburger Tor, sondern "Organizing" und Arbeit in den Vierteln. Kritik daran gibt es wenig, Basisarbeit ist fast eine Selbstverständlichkeit geworden.
Aber was heißt "Organizing" eigentlich und welche Rolle spiel es in einer revolutionären Strategie? Wie übersetzt es sich in die Großkampagnen, die es jetzt braucht? Was ist das für eine Organisation und wer organisiert wen? Unser Gast ist eine professionelle Organizerin aus dem Vereinten Königreich und beteiligt sich seit Jahren an Kämpfen rund um Care Work und Wohnen aus antikapitalistischer Perspektive. Wir werden über die Grenzen von Organizing sprechen, über die aktuellen Mobilisierungen hier und in UK und was wir tun müssen, wenn wir eine Revolution wollen (die wollen wir nämlich ziemlich dringend). Das Ganze findet auf Englisch statt. Wir versuchen gemeinsam allen Sprachkenntnissen gerecht zu werden.

The left, radical or not, hopes for an autumn of struggle and discusses the weapons of choice against the social catastrophe of exploding prices. Learning from past mobilizations, it is not so much large demonstrations at Brandenburg gate and carefully curated lists of demands that we talk about, but "organizing" and political work in workplaces and neighborhoods. Critics are rare, grass-roots work is almost a no-brainer.
But what is "organizing" exactly and where does it fit into a revolutionary strategy? How does organizing translate into large-scale campaigns that we need right now? What is the organization and who organizes who? Our guest is a professional organizer in the UK and has been organizing care work- and housing-struggles for years from an anticapitalist tradition. We'll talk about limits of organizing, the current mobilizations here and in the UK and what we should do if we want a revolution (we want that pretty badly). The event will be held in english, we'll try to find solutions together for all linguistic proficiencies.
